Instructions for accessing subscription-based resources from off campus.

What is the EZProxy Bookmarklet?

The EZProxy bookmarklet is a quick tool that helps you access subscription-based articles, ebooks, and databases from off campus. If you’re on a publisher’s website and hit a paywall, you can click the bookmarklet to reload the page through UC Law SF’s proxy server—so you’ll be recognized as an authorized user and granted access.

How to Add the EZProxy Bookmarklet to Your Browser

Step 1: Make Sure Your Bookmarks Bar is Visible

  • Chrome: Click the three-dot menu > Bookmarks > Show bookmarks bar
  • Firefox: Click the menu > Bookmarks > Show Bookmarks toolbar
  • Safari: Click View > Show Favorites Bar
  • Edge: Click the menu > Favorites > Favorites Bar

Step 2: Add the Bookmarklet

Option A: Drag-and-Drop (Easiest)
Drag this link to your bookmarks bar:
